Mr Peter Marsh Chair of Governors |
Committees: Teaching & Learning Church Links Pay Review |
Having spent my entire career in the teaching profession, including 14 years in Headship I am currently a semi-retired independent Education Consultant and wear many hats including that of being an Associate School Improvement Advisor with the Leeds’ Authority. My hope is that these experiences can in some small part support the hard work and dedication of what is already recognised as a successful school.
My wife and I have lived in Rawdon and attended St. Peter’s Church for over 30 years. Our only son also lives in Rawdon. I enjoy keeping relatively fit and still enjoy the odd round of golf. Sadly for my non-sport loving other half, I enjoy watching any sport that involves a ball (and of any shape!). Also a long-suffering supporter of both Birmingham City and the Bradford Bulls. |

Mr Ben McGregor Vice Chair of Governors Co-opted Governor |
Committees: Safeguarding & Pupil Wellbeing Teaching & Learning Pay Appeal |
I initially graduated from Leeds Metropolitan University in 2000 with a degree in Sport and Exercise Science. I then completed my PGCE in 2001 at Liverpool John Moores. During my career, I worked as a PE teacher. In 2020 I left my last teaching post as Director of Physical Education at Bingley Grammar School. My proudest moment came in 2015 where I was awarded Bradford Secondary School teacher of the year. I currently work as Head of Initial Teacher Training at Bradford Birth to 19. We are a larger teacher training organisation who trains teachers predominantly in Leeds and Bradford but also nationally. I am also a Specialist Leader in Education for Physical Education and for Initial Teacher Training. In my spare time, I am keen golfer and I enjoy digging in my allotment. I also enjoy spending time with my family. |

During my career, I have worked across both Leeds and Bradford and have experience teaching in every year group. Rawdon St. Peter’s is my second headship and I bring with me a wealth of experience in research based learning, curriculum development and financial management. I am also a Specialist Leader in Education for Assessment and the Coaching and Development of others. In my spare time, I enjoy keeping fit, cooking and spending time with family and friends. |

Mr Robert Mirfield Co-opted Governor |
Committees: Resources Pay Review |
My degree was in Modern Languages but my working career was spent in Personnel and Training, a large percentage being targeted on helping unemployed young people and adults get back into work, particularly through Job Guarantee. I have lived in Horsforth for more than 30 years and have been a member of the Rotary Club of Aireborough since 1990. I was also Chair of Governors at Benton Park School where our children were educated. I have been a volunteer reader in Oak Class for the past few years too. |

Mr Ben Pulleyn Staff Governor |
Committees: Teaching and Learning |
I am the Staff Govenor here at Rawdon st Peters. Having completed my degree in sports coaching and secondary PE in 2018, I spent a year working for the Leeds Rhinos foundation teaching PE in primary schools in Harehills. I then returned to do my PGCE through the Aireborough partnership. I am now moving into my fifth year teaching at Rawdon and love the community that comes with the school. I have loved working as part of an amazing team and bring a staff point of view to the governing team, along side learning how the school runs behind the scenes.
In my spare time, I can be found in my garden building my model railway, watching sports of any kind or trying to continue playing rugby, although I fear my playing days are slowly fading.

I am a Parent Governor and have 2 children at Rawdon St. Peter’s. I am currently an Assistant Headteacher at a Primary School near Leeds city centre and therefore have a great deal of experience in primary education and am used to working hand in hand with parents and carers. We all want the best for our children and want them to be happy, successful learners who love their time at school. As an experienced governor, I am keen to work with the school community and with the governing body to support Rawdon St. Peter’s so that our children thrive and have the best education possible! |

Mrs Teresa Downes Parent Governor |
Committees: Resources Safeguarding & Pupil Wellbeing Pay Appeal |
I have been a governor at RSP for just over a year now and have recently been elected to chair the Resource sub-committee. In my day job I’m an Operations Manager managing a large multi-disciplined team for a Media and Technology company and have been in post for almost 10 years. My role is wide and varied, including H&S, HR, budgets / P&L, recruitment, service & strategic management. I have two boys at RSP, one is year 5 and one year 1. Both boys love their school, teachers, friends and overall ethos. I agree – it’s an amazing place and I feel grateful I’m able to contribute. |

Hello, I’m Nicola. As a parent of a pupil at RSP, I have been a parent governor for 4 years, and am now a Co-opted local authority governor. My degree is in public relations and I work in a global marketing team.
I am passionate about both quality education and the need to provide a nurturing environment to primary school pupils. I am conscious of the challenges and choices that schools face and enjoy working with the highly skilled team of teachers, staff and governors at RSP to deliver the best education we can to our pupils, whilst ensuring they feel safe and enjoy their learning experience.Outside of work I love the theatre, and also enjoy a dog walk, a good book and a catch up over a coffee with friends. I’m always happy to chat with parents about school if they have something they want to discuss.

Miss Joanna Baxendale |
Committees: Teaching & Learning |
I have taught in primary schools across Bradford for over 20 years and have enjoyed the challenges and successes my experience has brought me. I am currently the Deputy Headteacher of Green Lane Primary which is a large three form entry primary in the heart of Manningham. I am also the Chair of Governors at another school within my trust; supporting schools in raising standards is something I am very passionate about. I also have a passion for the Early Years and Key Stage One and have supported a number of schools both locally and nationally. I enjoy working with other leaders to develop their learning environments to ensure quality outcomes for the children. On a personal note, I am a proud ex pupil of Rawdon St. Peter's and hope that I can support the school as it continues to provide the same wonderful educational experiences that I myself had all those years ago. |

Register of Governors' Business and Personal Interests
The Governing Body of each school is required by regulations made under the School Standards and Framework Act 1998 to establish a register which lists for each member of the Governing Body and the Headteacher, any business or personal interests they or any member of their immediate family have which could conflict with the school’s interests; to keep the register up to date with notification of changes and through annual review of entries, and to make the register available for inspection by governors, staff, parents and the Director’s of Education and Finance or their representative.
All governors have completed the relevant paperwork confirming they do NOT have any business or personal interests that conflict their role.
